THE ROLE
In this role, you will work closely with our Brain Injury
team, supporting colleagues to deliver excellent outcomes for clients with
complex personal injury claims with a brain injury element.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage brain injury claims from initial
instruction through to settlement or trial, working collaboratively within a
specialist team.
·
Deliver high-quality legal advice and
exceptional client care throughout the lifecycle of each claim.
·
Prepare and manage legal documentation,
including statements, schedules of loss, expert briefs and court bundles.
·
Liaise effectively with clients, witnesses,
counsel, experts and other stakeholders to progress claims.
·
Maintain accurate case files and ensure
compliance with regulatory, risk management and client service standards.
·
Proactively manage caseloads, prioritising
competing deadlines and progressing matters efficiently.
·
Meet departmental financial, billing and
time-recording targets.
·
Support colleagues, share knowledge and provide
cover where required.
·
Contribute to business development initiatives,
helping to build relationships and enhance the team's profile and growth.
This is a hybrid role and can be based at any of our offices
across Yorkshire. Occasional travel to Doncaster may be required from time to
time.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
Essential
· Solicitor/CILEX
or equivalent experience 0 to 4 years PQE
· Experience
in personal injury or serious injury litigation, including brain injury and
rehabilitation cases.
· Experience
handling or assisting with EL/PL, RTA and/or CICA claims.
· Good
understanding of civil procedure, litigation processes and case management.
· Strong
organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to prioritise
competing deadlines.
· Excellent
communication and client care skills, with empathy and confidence supporting
vulnerable clients.
· Ability
to manage workload effectively, work to deadlines and achieve performance
targets with appropriate supervision.
· Strong
IT and file management skills.
· A
genuine passion for brain injury law and achieving the best outcomes for
clients.
Desirable
· Experience
working on catastrophic, complex or high-value serious injury claims.
· Membership
of relevant professional bodies or accreditation schemes (e.g. APIL).
· Involvement
with organisations or charities supporting individuals with brain injuries
(e.g. Headway).
· Commercial
awareness, including an understanding of case value, costs and litigation
strategy.
· An
interest in business development and contributing to the growth and profile of
a specialist team.
