Job Purpose:
As part of our partnership project
with Dyfed Powys Police, the role purpose is to deliver a range of targeted
interventions to vulnerable, marginalised young people and individuals who are
involved (or at risk of becoming involved) in anti-social behaviour and
criminal activity. The provision will address the risks and support the needs
of young people, whilst empowering them to develop skills and attitudes to make
positive life choices.
Responsibilities:
· Lead on the delivery of engaging football and
multisport activities in areas of deprivation as part of the PL Kicks/PCC
project.
·
Provide opportunities which
inspire, motivate, and empower young people to realise their potential.
·
To effectively engage with young people at
sessions, whilst acting as a positive role model.
·
To provide line management to a team of local
casual staff and volunteers who will support delivery. This will include conducting regular
supervision and feedback sessions to ensure sessions are delivered to the highest
quality.
·
To deliver elements of the Premier League
Inspires project, designing and delivering engaging classroom activities to
at-risk young people in secondary schools.
· To facilitate one-to-one mentoring sessions
that focus on personal development, positive behaviour change, conflict
resolution, emotion regulation and goal setting
·
Work with other Foundation staff to deliver a
range of activities outside of project KPI’s such as transition days, stadium
events and workshops that support beneficiaries and meet Foundation aims and
objectives.

Help to manage the referral process of
participants into targeted projects. This will involve working closely with key
partners such as pupil referral units, youth offending teams, police, local
authorities and secondary schools.

To work closely with local communities to
identify suitable locations for the delivery of PL Kicks, and to ensure our
Kicks offer continues to meet the needs of these communities.

To plan and
deliver fun, engaging and age-appropriate practical sessions at our holiday
time soccer camps.
·
To ensure that all activities are delivered
within a safe, controlled environment.
·
To be committed to CPD and attend training
courses, seminars and meetings as required.
· To carry out administrative duties as
necessary e.g. maintain accurate attendance registers, conduct dynamic risk
assessments, complete any accident reports.

Ensure that all data is collected and processed
correctly and accurately, is up to date and uploaded to our online monitoring
system, Salesforce
·
To ensure the safeguarding and protection of
young people is prioritised at all times
· To represent Swansea City AFC Foundation at
relevant activities, conferences, competitions and other events relating to the
project.
· To supervise young people attending away events
and activities as part of the Premier League events calendar, including the
potential of overnight stays.
